Dear Parents,

We are thrilled to announce that the A.G.B.U. Alex & Marie Manoogian School has received Governor Engler's Golden Apple Award for Academic Excellence. The Manoogian School is one of only ten schools in Michigan acknowledged both in most improved and high achieving categories in MEAP. This prestigious award brings a monetary award of $50,000.00, which will be used for school improvement projects.

The Award was established by the Michigan legislature this year to recognize the excellent MEAP scores achieved over the past 3 years in Math, Reading, Writing, Science and Social Studies. Our school demonstrated a composite score increase of more than 60 points in the above mentioned subject areas. Please join us in our celebration by enjoying this delicious golden apple.

Congratulations to our dedicated faculty and to our Elementary and Middle School students whose MEAP test scores were among the highest in Michigan.
