School Students Look to the Future
SOUTHFIELD, MICH. – This year’s Manoogian School seniors are
headed toward a bright future after graduation.
Members of this year’s senior class have been accepted at a number
of schools, including University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, University
of Michigan – Dearborn, Boston University, Wayne State University,
University of Detroit – Mercy, Hillsdale, Wheaton, Cal State, Oakland
University, Central Michigan University, and Baker College.
Several students received impressive scholarships. Reyna Harabedian was
awarded a full four-year scholarship to the University of Michigan –
Ann Arbor. Naro Babaian received a full four-year scholarship to the University
of Michigan – Dearborn. Melene Hajakian received a $10,000 annual
scholarship to Illinois Institute of Technology. Albert Antonyan received
a $16,000 annual scholarship to University of Detroit – Mercy. As
summer nears and more financial aid awards are announced, the school expects
even more good news.
The school’s administration, faculty, and staff are extremely proud
of Manoogian’s seniors as they make plans to continue their educations.
Dr. Hosep Torossian, principal of the high school, says, “This is
the largest class ever to graduate from our school. Trying to keep 30
students on track to graduation has been a challenge, but this class has
not only made it worth the effort, but they’ve also made it fun.”
